Sentiments flowers also has a beautiful handpicked gift range and we offer gift wrapping as well as gift basket options which can be personalised or you can choose from our pre designed range for a variety of occasions.
We love to support other New Zealand businesses and always endeavor to supply our customers with NZ grown flowers and NZ made gifts.

Sentiments has been servicing New Plymouth’s floral needs since 1968 and are proud to continue to provide an outstanding service. We have your needs at the heart of everything we do and we firmly believe in telling your story and conveying your message of love and care with every gift and flower arrangement we deliver.
We are an Interflora florist and can deliver you messages worldwide.
We source most of our flowers from New Zealand Growers and strive to support our local flower industry. Our giftware is also predominantly NZ made and we take pride in what we offer.
Meet Us
Katrina
Katrina is our go to extraordinaire and our Mother Hen! Having purchased the business in 2014 she has taken it from strength to strength. Her passion has been growing the gift range in our store and ensuring there are unique gifts not found everywhere. She opened Mr and Mrs Greetings in 2025 a card, book and stationary store next-door to Sentiments . A mother of four now adult children and seven grandchildren Katrina is a big giver and has a huge heart. Since her ownership of Sentiments Katrina has learnt all about flowers, and has a particular love for arrangements and the colour purple.
Jasmin
Jasmin is our head florist, Katrinas daughter and flower lover a florist since 2013 she has grown her abilities, style and experience. Jasmin married in 2020 to Bryan and had the floral wedding of her dreams, she now has three beautiful children named Hunter and Oakley and Aria whom you will often see in store playing the role of flower assistant. Jasmin loves all things flowers and is inspired by colour and shape.
Sharnelle
Sharnele moved to Taranaki from Auckland with her husband, Caleb and daughter Leah in 2020. With many years in the florist industry, She brings a wealth of knowledge with her. Sharnele’s expertise is in arrangements and funeral work , but loves everything flowers and has all the creativity and design skills an exceptional florist needs. She has a fun and bubbly personality which comes alive when serving customers.
Jesse
Jesse joined us in late 2025 after moving from Australia in 2024 with her family. Jesse has always loved flowers but only after shifting here did she recently discover her passion to make it her career. As our apprentice florist Jesse is learning all there is to know of the florist industry. Her favourite thing about the job is allowing her creativity to flow and watching bouquets come together. She looks forward to growing in her role to further assist customers and develop her design skills.
Bruce
Bruce is Katrina husband and considers himself the utility sub (if it was a rugby game). He helps with a variety of jobs instore from deliveries, to cleaning (he’s good on the broom), and serving the occasional customer. Bruce loves a good yarn and is here to help out when needed.
